Word is it's Wood in for Anderson - no shock there.

But also that it's S Marsh in for M Marsh - so Voges keeps his place? Unless he's dropped for Watto?

S Marsh to bat 4 with Clarke and Voges dropping down a place in the order then? Further weakens a bowling attack that looks increasingly reliant on Johnson and to a lesser extent Hazlewood.

Clarke should bat up the order not further down, with inexperienced players around him he should move up to protect guys new(ish) to test cricket.

No idea how this match will turn out(anything is possible!) but England will be all over Clarke, even more so if they think he is hiding in the middle order.

England win the toss and will bowl. Wood is taking the new cherry

S Marsh in for M Marsh.

S Marsh to bat 4. Clarke to 5 and Voges to 6.

Weakens the AUS bowling options in my opionion.

With no Anderson to exploit the swinging ball it won't be as easy as you may think.

I've no doubt the game could go either way.....grass on the pitch, overhead conditions and it does indeed swing there.
Yeah,we will miss Anderson thou.

The Ashes....are in touching distance.......one more good performance :)

Marsh for Marsh sends the wrong message to me, makes Australia look scared of England's bowling attack even without it's leader, Clarke hiding down at 5 only reinforces that.

Correct decision to omit Mitchell Marsh as his batting isn't, as of yet, top 6 worthy of the Test side.

I would've preferred Shaun Marsh at 3, Smith 4, Clarke 5 and Voges 6. But that's neither here nor there.

The lack of fourth seamer isn't that much of a loss either. As Marsh isn't really a containing bowler.

Puts a lot of miles on Johnson, Starc and Hazlewood though, doesn't look like a pitch suited to Lyon bowling a lot of overs.

That's the selectors fault. Starc has been poor yet he's still selected in Nottingham. Siddle or Cummins would've been better options.

And Hazlewood should be able to bowl a fair few overs being a line bowler.

I don't think it's about sending a message, they got bowled out for 136, they need another batsman.

300 Test wickets for Broad...a feat of quantity over quality.

Great start for Broad, 300 wickets too. Pitch looks green and soft
