Send in Barstow, rashid and bell before cook.

And Broad and Wood. Poor Cooky scores 268 odd in the 1st dig and comes in at 10 in the second  :D

Pakistan slowing it all down, will the umpires take it into account?

Timewasting wins the day. Time to announce a 25 run penalty for slowing the game down? Can't blame Pakistan when there's no downside to them doing it. A shame the days have ended so early throughout this test.

Cash out ;). Doesn't mean bookies don't trade odds. Doesn't always have to be a result to make a massive profit

Set an over rate, if you are behind.. +25 per over missed.

Umpires need to stop batsmen messing about with gloves, meats, drinks etc. only allow in breaks. Stop batsmen messing about taking gloves on and off, mifmtheynsrent respady for the bowler then a warning,2 warnings and you're out (from bowlers normal run up so they can't just suddenly do a 2 step rather than 17 etc)

Would speed the game up, stop time wasting.mif you want the physio on, retire hurt and come back on later

Have you tried facing a 135km/85mph bowler in the dark with a scuffed up red ball? It's for the batsman's safety.

So those floodlights don't do anything?
Last time I checked they played day night games where those floodlights were the only thing making it possible to see the ball. Why's it safer to face a scuffed up white ball than a scuffed up red one?

Only allow spinners but you should always bowl the allotted overs

Why not ask the batsmen if they want to carry on then?

Sooooo... boring test match, rashid is the worst debutant ever... Not a bit of it! Well bowled lad, here's hoping we can chase them! Wonder if we'll change the batting order. 19 overs and fading light.

one wonders if @Buzz is enjoying cream or custard with  his humble pie?  :)  ;)  :)

Floodlights are nowhere near as good as natural light. Yep and in Day/Night games they use a brighter coloured ball for the batsman's safety, at this time, my club often trains until dusk under floodlights yet we switch to white balls when the lights come on. Trust me, it's really a big difference.

There's a reason that bad light exists in cricket.
