Yaaayyyy they won a game!

Jnr got 2 wickets this morning and 22 runs batting, then he's just finished on 14 not out to win the game.

And the sun was out today too!

Jnrs teammate Tom Bruce just scored 132 off 60 balls in a t20 game for them!!
Jnr got 1 and 2 wickets for 30

They've just won their other t20 today, finished top of their group,(suppose it helps having a nz t20 player in your team?)
Jnr took two wickets in each game including a wicket maiden

Jnrs team through to t20 finals after a win on Saturday
The game had to be over reduced due to the weather, seems to pee down a lot over there
Coming from east Lancashire he should feel right at home

Well jnrs had a right mare!
Absolutely hammered in the t20 cup final
Their bowling was taken apart, and apart from Tom Bruce and jnr getting a few runs they were played off the park.
I suppose it's character building, but still a bit deflating

Haven't been on the forum for a while but I had a great time with him when I was in New Zealand a month or two ago, did a lot of travelling around, saw lots of cricket and drank a lot of NZ's finest ales!

He's been looked after really well out there, staying with some really nice people and the club seem to have sorted him out very well too.
I stayed with some guys from Minehead who are in Melbourne for the winter, and Ellis has definitely had a much better deal than them in terms of cricket, accommodation, work, and pretty much everything else!!

I only went for the odd net with him but imagine his cricket would have come on a long way playing with/against the pros out there! Tom Bruce was a top bloke, we met him at the NZ team hotel a few hours before his debut t20 and he sorted us some free tickets, seemed a really sound guy.

Hope Ellis can do it for us again this summer!
