Issue with OnlineStockist purchase.

I wanted to discuss an issue i am facing with OLS. I ordered a bat and a SS elite bundle for a friend. Total cost is 500 USD. This package was shipped through DEUS Express. They usually use some sort of courier to receive all the packages from India and then ship it within USA through FedEx. I got a FedEx tracking from OLS and i kept track of it. Now comes the chronology of events ...

* On Dec 1st 2015, i got an update saying the package was delivered, however i was at home and nothing arrived. I reached out to OLS and then raised a FedEx missing package investigation. FedEx employees turned up at my house, asked a few questions and checked the perimeter of the house. They closed the investigation saying that the package was lost as a result of FedEx fault and sent me an email stating that the seller should file for reimbursement with the necessary documents for this procedure.
* On Dec 15th 2015, I contacted OLS at this point and provided all the documents to him. He claimed DEUS Express wanted to open a separate investigation and the one i raised wasn't valid. This happened on Dec 15th. I let them continue and they came back saying the same thing as FedEx told me earlier. Now OLS is trying to get DEUS express to reimburse but he isn't getting any response from him (i find this hard to believe, since he will be using DEUS express to send shipments to other folks in USA).
* On Jan 2nd 2016, OLS emailed about his situation and asked me to wait for 2 weeks.
* On Jan 14th 2016, he came back and told me the package is lost and DEUS is not refunding anything. I emailed him the same day asking for a full refund or give us an alternate option. I have repeatedly emailed him with a spacing of 2 days and he is conveniently ignoring my emails.

What are my options here ? My payment was through paypal, so i am thinking of opening an investigation right away.

Any suggestions, thoughts or past experiences is greatly appreciated.

Moral of the story (atleast for me): DON'T BUY FROM ONLINESTOCKIST.

Should have reported to PayPal long back mate.

Paypal is your only option.

I had a small incident where i shipped something to a friend via fedex within USA . The packaged said delivered but my friend didn't receive anything. I filed a fedex claim and got the claim money in 2 weeks.
In your case we don't know how's good is this DEUS carrier.
Keep your email conversations that you had with OLS and file a claim with paypal. Hope you get your refund.

This was the first attempt to order from OLS and i have learnt the risk involved. I suggested using forum retailers but the SS Elite bundle (gladiator bat, matrix pads, gloves, arm guard, thigh guard, box and wheelie bag) would have costed atleast 400 GBP (assuming we buy a whole set in TON bundle) with or without shipping. OLS cost was USD 420. I wanted to try one of his custom made bats(grade 3) which was USD 80. So the overall pricing cost drove us to this decision.

I was about to buy stuff from OLS.. will stay away..

Sounds like he's trying to do the old stallaroo on you.
That's when you makes excuses and request the customer wait until the paypal despute deadline ha passed and you then can't do anything about it.



Seen loads of people use ols without issue, but for every 15 without issue there is always one were it goes wrong, and when it does go wrong, it's a 100% perfect shout that ols will do absolutely nothing to help that buyer.



420 usd may be better than £500, but is having to buy the kit twice cheaper?? It certainly hasn't been less hassle.
Don't take the risk with a company that has a huge history of poor customer service.

I've used them twice for big orders without issue. Sounds like it's delivery companies but as said dispute through PayPal as they don't muck about

I am hoping it will not come to the point of buying the same kit again. Hoping to get some relief from PayPal dispute. Let's see ...

First thing I would do is go to their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Online-Stockist-Cricket-121460267865184/) and
post what you said here and keep posting updates. Nobody likes bad feedback except maybe their future customers.

No greater effect on a companies reputation than social media... Just keep hammering their Twitter/Facebook pages.
