Affinity Toro vs. H4L WarBird.
« on: February 18, 2016, 05:07:48 PM »

Due to constraints on time, I'm primarily planning on playing T-20 cricket as a mid-lower order bat.

Affinity and H4L are probably my two favorite brands by some distance. For people, that have seen both bats in the flesh, how would you compare them ?

Don't believe the Toro is being made any more

Yup, there's a couple of lightly used ones I can pick up.

I've had quite a few bats from each maker. I've got a Toro but not had a Warbird. The middle will be lower on the Toro, pick up on mine which is 2.13 is excellent though. Love all the bats that I've had from each maker they've all performed very well. You can't really go wrong, pick which one you like the look of better or even better buy one of each!

Just pick the one with the best stickers because they will both be cannons

To me they are both very good bats but having used both I did not like the toe on the toro as when running the bat in found it can get stuck as it's got a very square toe the warbird has a round toe so no issues there and I believe h4l are making some of the best bats around at the moment

Without turning this into a Matt/H4L fanboy zone, I second this comment!

You honestly won't regret it if you buy a Warbird  :)

I believe the Toro is a slightly shorter blade than the Warbird.

It's one to ask him, it's often the case of if there's a demand for a product you consider fulfilling it but then I'm not the one making them Haha.

If you follow Marcus various feeds, there's something coming for this summer, it may not be a Toro but it's aimed at t20 if I understand him right.

As for the thread. My toro is awesome.
Ping is beautiful, pickup is fantastic, and if you run it in face down not edge down I can't see you having the digging in issues mentioned.!
