Minimum weight of these bats is 2-12. Not many clubies like to use 2-12 bats.

I think this is purely cosmetic (but yeah i still want it)...may be hard to believe, but I am going with my old physics text book here: Force = mass (i.e weight) × acceleration

The extra power we see today is because of much stronger guys who practice power hitting like never before. You hand warner a much smaller 2lb 15 bat than this...the umpire will still be in the same danger.

I called Gray Nicolls Australia and they said it will hit shelves in July/August.

That is going to be a long wait.

I think there will b minimalistic difference between this and Usman Khawaja's profile as it doesn't have exaggerated bow like David Warner's.

In the 16-22yards between the where a bowler or umpire will be when a batsmen smokes it back, I honestly don't think the reaction time between this bat and a standard powerbow for instance, will make a difference.

It's gonna be milliseconds, it's not even gonna be a second difference.


The difference comes from the intent in today's game. Players train to hit hard, to be stronger, to be fitter, practice range hitting.

Chris gayle smoking one straight with a standard cleft, or with a low density cleft is still going to cause issues if it hits either of the two people we are worried about.



Look at the pic on Twitter, was antherton, and Fairbrother sat outside Taj Mahal, both looked like skinny teens, then under was root, and buttler recreating pic, They look liked sportsman who train in comparison

Watched the film
Blokes clever in his description of the tricks used to get a little of the weight down.
At the end of the day, it's a big old lump of dead weight that's gotta be picked up before a shot can be played.
You've still gotta generate bat speed to get distance and power into shots.
We dont all face 80mph plus bowling.

Warners bats an over dried cleft,(that's been said before) as has the fact batters are stronger.

I remember years ago, blokes batting with SS jumbos etc and only ever connecting with the odd one.

None of the above is gonna stop me having a go at making a khawaja rep

Took a pic of the sample 50+ dwarfing the Warner I have, those with a Warner will appreciate how big this 50+ is.

Whist it is clearly a bigger bat, I don't feel the picture is giving a fair comparison, the Warner bat is showing quite a bit of the face, whilst the 50+ none. Thus it seems to me the difference is being exaggerated by the picture.

That is big bat! It looks like a shorter blade and longer handle. give it time we'll all be using a mallet!!

Not exaggerated at all, I took a few extra pics I will put up later. Bat isn't for sale either by the way, just had the rep by today with his sample.
