All these GN bats have such beautiful bows.  :D

Bairstow's is 50% heartwood.

So

Side to face Pakistan?

Cook- yep. And cap
Hales- done enough to maintain the spot
Borthwick- Compton hasn't done enough and time to go.
Root- off course
Vince- will get another series despite not pulling up any roots.
Stokes- if recovers if not still woakes.
Bairstow- yep!
Ali- do we have anyone better? If borthwick scores runs and take wickets though.....)
Broad. Yep
Finn-could be replaced by ball if he doesn't get a good game soon
Anderson- yep

Might just be his action, but it looks like Eranga is chucking?

He was reported for it last game.

Vince is in a similar predicament to Lyth last year - keep getting very good balls.  Never really sure how you work out if that's the batsmans fault or not.

Vince just has something about him that makes me think he'll come good...

...but then I thought that about Lyth too

I think Lyths problem was just chasing wide ones and snicking off

This, Lyth was loose and chased the ball and so got out. He wasn't 'unlucky'

Vince I've thought should be in for a while. Slightly worried the way he is getting out thou-maybe it's just me.
Compton gonna stick my neck on the line should be kept for Pakistan. But I think if England drop him it's a bit left field but stokes and woakes to play in the same side.
Woakes has surprised a bit and deserves a chance. He's a bit quicker than before and can def hold a bat

Er, yes? He's been reported.

If you are chucking, it is your action. No 'might just be'!

So, how many people still believe Nick Compton is a better batsman than Jonny Bairstow, like they did six months ago?

Oh good, you're back to being grumpy. Awesome. I guess being civilised was getting a little lame.

For what it's worth, I didn't know he'd been reported. Also, Sam pointed it out earlier (Politely) but thanks for confirming!

Anyway, enough of the trolling, cricket is on! Subject to weather of course.

This is cbf, people don't read the entire thread and then reply. They read till they find something they can jump on and than smash the reply button as hard as they can with there foreheads to try and get an Internet one upmanship.

Agree Compton needs to  remember  that the selectors included him  to play  his natural game and forget what he reads in the media.
Woakes batting on that pitch in those conditions against that bowling attack doesn't really tell us if he's test class.
