Jason Roy's found his level at ODI cricket, Sri Lanka who's bowling attack isn't too dissimilar to a division 2 Mickey Mouse attack...

Yeah, true, he only has an average of 40+ against the poor teams.. Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Australia.

Struggles against the better teams like South Africa and New Zealand.

Pakistan are a woeful limited over sides and that's been the case for a few years now...

As I said an undermanned Australian side. Mitchell Starc would rip Roy a new one.

Has Starc improved that much in 12 months?  I'm impressed. He didn't seem to "rip him a new one" last year.

Starc is undisputed best bowler in ODI cricket.
As for last year Roy probably had a log in his pants from seeing Cummins launching them down at 155kph

According to the latest stats, in the WI game (June 26th, 2016) he was 0/32?

If that's ripping someone a new one, I can only presume Moeen Ali is turning it around corners?

And Nick Compton was hitting it to all parts...  ;)

I watched the highlights on YouTube last night.  I admit I haven't been following english cricket for some time, so I was surprised that England got up and won and did so well.  Even as some have mentioned the SL line up was't the best, chasing 300+ is still a pretty big task and many a good batting team have failed trying.

All credit to the England team!!!

While I agree with the sentiment, we must remember that England haven't peaked yet. ;)
It's a change of personnel has resulted in the improvement, and with plenty of time for the new group of players to grow as a team they could do something special at the next world cup.

To win the big ICC limited overs events you need a gun bowling attack not just batsmen going out slogging relentlessly.

India failed to defend their 50 over title due to their weak attack, their batsmen have always been pretty world class with the willow.

England's attack is very ordinary and the only world class bowler(Finn) doesn't get a game.

Just wish he'd let rip , not very English tho
