For the record India won by an innings and 92 runs. R Ashwin with 7/83.

Am slightly confused as to what the issue is with what ball India uses. SG is a home brand and the ball they produce favours their spin bowers eg their strength. Why should they use a Duke ball?

India is a mixed combo when using cricket balls. SG is used in test matches while IPL uses Kookaburra regulation cricket balls. Don't know about ODI though ...

England, Australia and India prefer to use local brand names. Probably because of they offer cheaper price or better deals or promote home grown brands.

Samuels and Carlos showed some resistance. Rest of the WI players fell off the ladder way too fast ...

Hope WI can pick up steam and come back like England in Eng vs Pak series.

We don't want another one sided series but looks to be going that way after the way the WI batted in the 2nd innings

No issue with india/s.g or england/dukes etc . Was commenting on the apparent sub standard of the balls used in west indies tests and then commenting that universality of test ball across all nations/series would be good . Basically,  anything but a Kookaburra would be good (and that's coming from an Aussie ).

I thought the Windies agreed a deal with Duke to use the same ball as England use.

I think the Windies bowlers lack the skill to get the most out of the ball anyway. Shami and Yadav where getting plenty of movement whereas Gabriel aside it was gun barrel straight.

Second Test match starts in Jamaica today. Both sides make one change each. For the Windies Miguel Cummins makes his Test debut and replaces Carlos Brathwaite. Cummins is being labelled as a genuine fast bowler so should be good to see how he goes. For the India M Vijay is injured and is replaced by KL Rahul. Pitch is a little on the green side. Holder won the toss and elected to bat.

So the Windies got humiliated in the first Test. They ask for a green pitch to favour their fast bowlers. Then instead of putting India to face some rockets from Gabriel they bat first and get skittles...11/3 already. Stupidest decision Holder could've made...

The irony when India get two knick's behind in two balls and can't review it!  ;)

Ashwin has cracked the WI line up again. Poor Holder .. team falters when batting second so he decided to bat first and they are still struggling.

Why is Carlos Brathwaite not included in this match ???

Good to see these two showing some kind of fight here. Still embarrassing though.

Truly dreadful from the Windies, wrong decision at the toss but very little skill or heart shown by most of their batsmen. Blackwood and Samuels tried to to save the sinking ship but the damage was already done. The ineptitude at facing R Ashwin is beyond pathetic. An off spinner getting a michelle on a green top(a very good off spinner granted) is ridiculous. KL Rahul looks some player, has a hint of Vijay and Kohli about his batting, made the Windies bowlers pay whenever they missed their marks. Miguel Cummins looked pretty ordinary and was nothing more than military medium...Unless they take early wickets this will be a batting practice session for the Indians

Most bizarre days cricket I've seen in a long time. India have scored 132 runs off 54 overs. Windies have shown very little interest in taking wickets. Setting in/out fields and just restricting the run scoring. Poor chap Pujara ran himself out and missed out on a big score. KL Rahul seems in no such mood and has reached a career best 150*, it seems highly likely Pujara will be dropped when Vijay returns from injury. Kohli is at the crease as well.
