Funny odd career KL Rahul has thus far produced. 3 scores of 100 and 8 scores under 20(in fact 7 single figure scores). But he's yet to play any matches at home and he's still a young man at 24. Plenty of time to get more consistent.

India eventually declared on 500/9. India's somewhat forgotten star Ajinkya Rahane bagged his 7th Test hundred. He now scored hundreds in England, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and West Indies(plus he scored 90s in South Africa and Bangladesh). The little man from Mumbai seems to be a batsman for all conditions.

West Indian Roston Chase bagged 5/121, his maiden Test five wicket haul. He bowled very nicely.

India lead by 304 runs

would actually go as far and say he could well be a better world wide player than Kohli.

Good fight back from the West Indies today. It's a shame about that shocking lbw, probably going to cost West Indies the draw.

Windies have unearthed a star in all rounder Roston Chase. A maiden 5fer and maiden hundred in only his second Test. One of only 4 West Indians to take a michelle and score a century in the same match.

Such a shame to see the windies go this way, but after sharing a few beers Monday with a lad whos come over from playing in the CPL you can see why, the big names are above the establishment & treat like kings in the Caribbean.

Windies live to fight another day. 388/6 when Kohli finally accepted the draw. Chase undoubtedly the MoTM. Holder found some form with an unbeaten 64. First time in Windies Test history that 5/6/7/8 have all scored 50+ in the same innings.

Little off topic but India will play two t20 games in Florida USA against WI. It's scheduled for Aug 27-28. The ground is 30 minutes drive from where I live. Waiting for the ticket sales to open. This will be one mega event specially for usa crowd.
I watched the cpl t20 games last weekend here and got to meet Brandon mcullum, Sammy, faf, Umar Kamal , Shane Watson and a few more. Will post pics.

His batting style reminded me of Curtly a bit. All long limbs not quite working in unison. Still, great performance.

Mishra needs a buzz cut or a word with Warnie.

Third Test match starts in St Lucia today. Jason Holder won the toss and elected to field on a pitch that should be a fair bit faster than the previous two venues.

West Indies make two changes with Chandrika and Bishoo dropped. Leon Johnson comes in to open. And West Indian u19 sensation Alzarri Joseph comes in for his Test debut. Joseph had real pace during the u19 World Cup.

India make three changes. Pujara, Mishra and Yadav axed. Rohit Sharma, Ravi Jadeja and Bhuvi Kumar all get a game. Pujara was pretty poor so probably deserved to be axed, but I'm perplexed as to why Rohit gets a game but M Vijay(India's best opener) is still carrying the water...Mishra was dreadful and I think Jadeja will prove a better bowler. Yadav is unlucky to miss out. If I'm honest I'm not sure why Ishant gets picked. He's awful.

West Indies: 1 Kraigg Brathwaite, 2 Leon Johnson, 3 Darren Bravo, 4 Marlon Samuels, 5 Jermaine Blackwood, 6 Roston Chase, 7 Shane Dowrich (wk), 8 Jason Holder (capt), 9 Alzarri Joseph, 10 Miguel Cummins, 11 Shannon Gabriel

India: 1 KL Rahul 2 Shikhar Dhawan, 3 Rohit Sharma, 4 Virat Kohli, 5 Ajinkya Rahane, 6 R Ashwin, 7 Wriddhiman Saha, 8 Ravindra Jadeja, 9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10 Mohammed Shami, 11 Ishant Sharma

Windies getting into the Indians early doors. Gabriel bagged Dhawan. And then Alzarri Joseph bounced out Virat Kohli for his maiden Test wicket.
