I really don't think this is going to work without overseas stars flooding into the tournament-which don't look likely
the T20 tournament is getting more successful from what I can tell. They need to have a block of games in school holidays and the Friday nights and keep it as it is. It can then run alongside the championship games.
for it to grow,,,,it needs to be backed......so County chairman need a safety net from called off games and possible low turnout
The ECB have lined their pockets from SKY, they say they want to grow cricket...well T20 is popular with the kids(and some of us old ppl) so go ahead.
time the ECB stopped putting the onus on County Clubs and backed it totally.
The deal the ECB signed with SKY helped dimish cricket at amateur cricket here, it's time for a bit of moral and financial payback.
