after all, we only rated Haseeb Hameed because we'd been watching Joe Burns attempts to play the moving ball!

on the plus side, he'll make YJB look like the reincarnation of Jimmy Binks by comparison!  ;)

Don't go too far, maybe Jar Jar Binks...

You've got Matt wade! Wasn't he bowling at 130kph plus against Sri Lanka once??

Funnily enough I thought the same .....if we get desperate for some overs of pace then Wade can bowl and Handscomb can keep ( yeah I know he's only a grade level keeper but that's still about the same /better than Wade , right ?)

Is Wade's keeping really that bad? Yeah he's had issues with keeping to Lyon in the past, but is the roller even likely to play in Adelaide? Highly unlikely.

du Plessis will play the third Test after lawyers for his tampering charges couldn't reach Australia in time.

Wade is embarrassing as a keeper, listening to a few people here there is a school of thought that nevill is too nice, not aggressive like Wade.

Yeah , yeah it is that bad . He keeps poorly to any spinner . He backpeddles , rises too early , snaps at the ball . Even standing back he is rather mediocre at best , and he doesn't keep with an Aussie technique either .

Surely you'd prefer 'nice but able to catch' against 'gobby with pan-hands'?

Having picked a couple of poms i think the aussies have just tried to keep the blokey/aussie balance by dropping a keeper for not sledging enough

If you'd seen some of Nevill's first class knocks you'd surely think he was tough and determined,  but perhaps he lacks Wade's mongrel. But none of that matters , especially when the team needs runs at 7 desperately.

Absolutely, Nevill has been made a scapegoat here for sure, if the top 6 were scoring runs  he wouldn't of even been mentioned. It reeks of panic.

I haven't seen Handscomb keep at all and i realise Wade has the gloves over him at Victoria but surely if Wade is that bad (and everyone on here says he is) then Handscomb should keep and then the Aussies could play another specialist batter?

I still think the Aussies are desperate for a good all rounder

certainly having a decent AR allows you to balance a side a lot easy to the conditions you are playing in and then takes pressure off.

are there any on the horizon or who could be picked in Oz - obviously Mitch Marsh was tried
