He scored runs in t20 for fun last year! Got a 90 odd on sky as well, perhaps the warne factor at Hampshire swayed rajastan?

Nice on Ashvir??
So you had a major problem with Lumb? And now you have a problem with Carberry?

So you've obviously got a major problem yourself pal! What is it?

29 years old is not old!! How old was Michael Hussey when he started test cricket 30/31 years old? Mark my words carberry is next in line for a chance in the England Squad! He nearly got his chance in SA when Colly was a doubt!

And 50 not out i would suggest you shut your mouth if you wanna hide behind someone else's comments and dont start a topic when its pretty clear you nothing at all about cricket and whats makes a good cricketer! So i suggest you do us all a favour and go and play somewhere else!!

Its great having an opinion. But all we are wondering is what is your opinion based on??
It cant be based on last seasons performance as both Carberry AND Lumb impressed and had excelllent averages and on great form in 2009.
So what is your whole argument based on?

When you start an argument, the whole point is that there needs to be something supporting your point of view -- so we are curious what is your side of the argument?

I hate pointless posts that aren't based on anything! If you have a negative have something to back it up like stats etc.

my side of the argument is that Idont think he Is good enough for ipl cricket! fair enough county level when he can score racks of runs but internatinal is another step up. e.g trott he has had a great start to his test carreer but in my opinion if he has a average series in bangladesh i think he will be put under the cosh for carbeery to coem in.

trott didnt have a great seires in south africa and you cant say he returned home etc whcih affected him it wasnt! kp when he went bak there for the first time he had an excellent series.

my argument is that i think he will be a trot a 1 hit wonder who might have a good start to his career then fade away a little bit.

I DONT MEAN TO AFFEND ANYONE NOW SO JUST THROUGH IT BACK IT ME IF YOU DISAGREE ETC

ipl cricket is not a fantastic or even international standard of cricket. it is better than county certainly but so far its an overblown domestic tournament in my opinion. just have a look at the number of retired internationals make the starting line-up. some of the ipl i watched last year was crap to be honest...... thats my opinion and i await the backlash!!!!

you could say trott will fade away after a good start to his career.... uh-um remind you of KP. despite the fact he had a fantastic start to both test and odi cricket you can't deny his star has faded a lot. there is a stat which says something like he got 3 hundreds in his first 7 odis and 4 in the remainding 70odd.

I have to agree I think the IPL is more a spectacle and a showcase of talent rather than a higher standard of the domestic format in england, SA, Aus etc. No doubt that are some amazing talents on show but it is also a breeding ground for lesser known Indian players to establish themselves.

I think there is considerably less skill involved in 20/20 than any other format of the game but its one hell of a show!!
