I dont know . . .who are you talking about now Lumb, Carberry, Trott, KP . . . .

In any case i think its a bit premature to write off Trott! He's only had one full series and one test against Aus. Trott looks a quality player to me! As for KP i dont have an opinion . . .

Samamerweera is a 6! Not a 4. Trott isnt 3 for me, if anything stick Pietersen there to give him some responsibility! Trott/Colly at 4 or 5.

Trott does look quality and seems to perform when the pressure is on and when its important to perform.
The only thing he was guilty of was playing lose shot in the last game really. Apart from that he has had a good start.
And KP has been having a tough time getting back to form after his injury and op. Time will tell whether or not he'll get back to his top form or not!
Bangladesh looked pretty good at times against the strong battng of the Indian team. The worrying thing for England is if we go over to Bangladesh with a weakkened team and Bangladesh gave India some tough times - then we could be in for some very worrying times!! But its a good time for the likes of KP to try to find some form again.

No dont think he is over rated at all, he can be a little gun-ho, but its obvious he can turn/win a game all by himself. I think the business with losing the captaincy has knocked his famous swagger and confidence and that has affected his game. But i think he will bounce back like all world class players do.

Would stick with trott at 3, kp 4, colly 5

Foster is not the best batsman too be hinest. He has his moments, but he is nowhere near the class of Prior with the bat!
Where Foster excels is with the gloves. He is one of the best keepers in the world, bar none!!! But his batting is average.

Prior is nowhere near as goood with the gloves but his batting is very good - over 40 average at international level is class by anyones standards.
And Priors glovework has improved over the last year. Foster certainly would make a great international keeper at ODI level - just not sure if he's up to the task at test level?

Don't see the fuss being made about pakistani players not being purchased for IPL3. I mean it's openly known that India and pakistan's relations died when the Mumbai attacks occurs. It wouldn't be correct to welcome players from a country that India has no relations with/or isn't going to have relations with in the near future.

Warne requested Lumb be signed, and Warne doesn't usually back poor players. He did the same last year, when he requested Kamran Khan be signed. He was a total unknown in India. He was pretty successful, before he got injured.

If the IPL's of cricket was so low, why would all the world best players want to play in the tournament? Warne openly said that playing in the IPL was only below playing Test cricket. The playing standard of the IPl is much better than the T20 cup in England, that's for sure. The main aim of the IPL was to develop young Indian cricketers against the premier players in the world. It's not just a meal ticket for the International players. Also if the International players don't play(if in the squad at the time, not unavailable due to injury or International commitments) then they only received 25-50% for their purchase price.

I rate Foster as 1 of the best keepers inb the World. If his batting was close to Priors then would be keeping for Engand.
Priors keeping has improved amazingly over the last year or two! But he has had to!! He has the likes of Steve Davies and a certain classy South African born keeper/batsman to compete against very soon :-) so he needed to improve his keeping!

But Prior has got the gloves as he is a very good batsman and his keeping is much improved.

All the best players want to go there because, regardless what they say they fancy the money!!! Imagine the pressure the older players get from there family to get that easy few quid at the back end of there career and th younger players can't believe there luck. How can the IPL ever be compared in standard to test cricket when there is potentially 410 overs difference. It is better than t20 tournament in England but it is not international standard and it can't because not every side has 11 international standard cricketers. Warne probably said the to keep the powers that be happy!!!
