Well 6 months of CBF practice not much use today, my mate got dropped the mother of all dollies at second slip on 0 and went on to hammer 64, I got one that turned, bounced and hit the shoulder of my bat on a dry pitch and I was walking back with a single to my name.

That's the game thou!!

                                                                                                                                                                            Not suggesting your club does but Sometimes clubs make it its to easy for players they  allow there players to develop a poor attitude the players gets away with it in the knowledge that  there club would struggle if they left  but no No club needs players with  attitude   causes the good guys to leave and worse case situation the club folds seen it happen.

I think we're stuck with in a catch 22. Not big enough squad to get rid of players, and those said players discouraging New players from joining. We don't have a big catchment area, and nearest club are county champions with 4 adult teams and massive youth set up we can never hope to match

Cheers, ha. We'll see how it goes. Yesterday we had a bloke who's done it before and was asked as nobody else has/can, just making absolutely no effort whatsoever, couldn't catch, on the whole lazy. Stuff like that just infuriates me.

Played my second friendly yesterday.

Batting 10 I got 22* to see us get to 222 off our 45 overs

Bowled 6 overs and got 3-12 won by 50 odd runs.

Played the first friendly yesterday, scored a slightly agricultural 75 NO coming in at 3 in about the 4th over on debut for my new club. Also briefly chatted with another forumite who plays for woodmancote. Sorry I can't remember your user name but pleasure to have met you mate! Hopefully you're reading this. you'll have to get down to Swindon to see asad, as you saw his bats go very well!! Even in the hands of someone like me.

First game of season and my first game since last June when my season ended early due to broken finger. Opened up and scored 75 before the captain decided he wanted a bat and retired me out. We were 227-6 (2 retired in those 6), oppo were 160 odd for 8. Good game but I have been struggling to move all day! Just wish we had another keeper so I can give it up!

First friendly of the year, 51 off 81 balls on a interesting green. Hard work but good to get the first 50 of the year, 1 more than last year.

Lovely game of cricket with touring side Shenley Fields & @Tailendfielder down in West Somerset - he was sawn off fair too early to one of the best 1st slip catches you will ever see.
We won but they were all exceptionally hungover to be fair
