Worse than some  SG sunny tonnys or King Cobras from the same factory that are half that price.

I'm not sure why this is either @Shinpathy , the grain count on Kookaburras in the shops appeared to drop last season and the price seemed to jump with grade 3 selling in shops at over A$500 here in Adelaide. Bloody expensive stickers. So many other things go into worksing out the final the price I guess.

SG offer different units for overseas clients which would be away from SG domestic.

Sure... Just like you'd believe when Jason Mallet says he gets his SS tons that are export quality and thus are much better than domestic Indian ones.

Or when he advertises that Gautam Gambhir uses the same SG PE as the ones he sells.

Why are you bringing Jason in to this ?

Looks a decent stick for the money even if an earlier model.

500+ runs between now and the end of the season and I'm sure the op will be happy.

I don't know what Jason said, but SS do offer customization for foreign retailers. If you notice ProCricShop and CricMax in USA, they have a complete new line up SS bats. However the export versus domestic might be a different story. For example, bats send to US & UK are generally sold at higher prices compared to ones sold in India. So its possible that they might want to treat overseas customer better than local ones.

He blatantly says the overseas top models are of much higher quality than the ones Indians get in one of videos.

Pretty sure a top end ton reserve is the same whether from crowncricketer or a US/UK company, and with the UK case being different stickers.

Retailers like Jason probably get the bats much cheaper than even the domestic general population from India.

He has to run a business in which he needs to mark up his profits as much as he can, and using such said marketing gimmicks is to probably discourage people directly sourcing bats from India and to rather buy it through hin.

It may be true in some cases but not always. One or two special bats based on request could have been specially made but not all of them.

Pretty sure a top end ton reserve is the same whether from crowncricketer or a US/UK company, and with the UK case being different stickers.

Top end is always ton reserve or gladiator. They just use different stickers based on the country and honestly i don't think they are any different. U can get it from India or UK or US, all would be the same.

I am not sure if its cheaper than price offered by SS to local Indian retailers. For example - I visited a cricket shop in Chennai and the dealer was willing to sell a Gladiator for 23,000 INR which is a little close to USD 350. You can't get a retailer to sell a Gladiator bat in US for anything lower than USD 425. CSO tends to make it too pricey by labelling the Gladiator at USD 699, which is too high.

He has to run a business in which he needs to mark up his profits as much as he can, and using such said marketing gimmicks is to probably discourage people directly sourcing bats from India and to rather buy it through hin.

He was a little touchy and never sent any pics of an individual bat which you are trying to buy. When someone is spending USD 300 to buy a GM 808, i don't think its wrong to ask for some pics. So i agree with you on this point ... but after a while he stopped stocking SS, since he realized that people don't buy Indian brands from CSO.

When will these guys stop lying about pro bat weights.. no chance that either warner or khwaja use 2lb 14.. more like 2lb 10 at most.

Even a biffer like dhoni uses 2lb 10 and 2lb 11.. as can be heard in this video: https://youtu.be/52ESlc9t5bc
The Spartan guy is saying "1205 grams"..

Last warner pro bat i saw weighed in at 2lb 11oz , & yes the kwaja feels heavy , nowhere near as nice as a 50plus in comparison

Agree, if the weight, shape and size are all not the same as a pro bat, it shouldn't be called one..if the pro bats break after handful of games, then they should come with a disclaimer on the same...at least you can experience the pickup and ping of the pro bat when you spend so much money rather than wielding a 3 lb club in the name of pro bat size and durability...
