My first game of the season has been called off. Was really looking forward to it. Had a good couple of training session leading into the game and felt good and prepared but unfortunately the weather strikes.

No league game today as a free weekend but can’t imagine any one will get a game in rain all yesterday most of today and it’s about 8 degrees. Waiting for tomorrow to be called off now. 2 weeks into the league season and no games played plus 3 of
Our 4 pre-season games not played what great start to the season. No doubt Sep will be dry and warm when all finished yet our league continue to believe early April is better than Sep for league cricket. Bloody muppets

Wasted afternoon, freezing cold and wet.
Spent 20 odd overs waiting to go into bat but got rained off.
Nice Tea though, so not a complete loss

Today’s game was called off at 10am this morning, slightly annoying leaving it so late as no chance was going to be on, had consistent rain since Friday and it’s 6degrees today so actually don’t mind at all.
Fingers crossed for next weekend

The consolation to all this weather is that it seems that nobody has gotten out to have much of a pre-season bat.

Our season started two weekends ago and both 1sts & 2nds had very low scoring games, rained off this weekend. The scorers won't have to worry about running out of room for many of us!

we managed to get two sunday games on yesterday. home game was 199-7 plays 127 all out, and the away game was 228 plays 207. one of our lads got a ton.

considering how wet it's been, we did well to get them both on.

I didn't play as I hurt my back in the gym, hoping to be back next weekend but it's absolutely hammering down in London this morning...  :(
