Totally triggered 2nd ball caught behind.   Never touched it. Bloody league umpire. He was giving wides when the ball had hit the pads too. Where do they get these people. We lost. Very frustrating.

Shipped 300 again in 45 overs tough game  today. A loss but we got 200 in reply.

Given out when I hit the ground for nothing which pretty much ruined the day

The umpire did come up to me after the match and said he may of got it wrong. My batting partner said I hit the ground not the ball

Mistakes happen thou whether the umps honesty makes it better or worse I don't know!!

His biggest howler was not giving one of our players out lbw. The umpire admitted it hit him inline and would have hit the stumps, but it couldn’t be out as it pitched outside off stump.
He earnt £40 for that performance

Poor team day, good personal day for me though, made 79 and was in a second wicket stand of 100 and batted nicely. Got out caught behind which was frustrating but at least it was the correct decision. We were 150-2 ended up 198 all out poor middle order display and some tidy bowling meant the momentum was with them. They knocked it off 1 down when the pitch had dried out and was back to being a road.

Waste of a day!
Bowled the opposition out for 40 odd and knocked it off in 4 overs - thank you for coming

Made 23 in an opening stand of 50 with my skipper before nicking off. Struggled with a sore wrist which stopped me playing shots.

We scored 183/6 in our 45 overs, on a pitch which offered plenty of lateral movement.

Our bowling attack is probably the best in the league and as long as we give them a total to work with they usually pull through. And so it was today as we bowled out our local rivals for 83 inside 34 overs to record a 100 run win.

Yesterday I finally hung up the keeping gloves after 25 years! I had been thinking about it through the winter and we had a new player turn up at the club who could finally give my body a break! It felt a bit weird being in the field but I took a good catch so it has started well.

We had a great game. We won with 1 ball to spare, with a great help from our oppos slow over rate!

We bowled well to restrict them to 207 on what I thought was a 225 pitch. However as I stood at the non strikers end in the 1st over I watched my partner nick off to the 1st ball then our no.3 nick off to the 3rd ball and we were 0-2 at the end of the 1st over!!

Me and our no.4 steadied the ship and put on 80 before I played on for 39. We would then lose a couple of quick wickets before our no. 8 got 60 and the tail wagged plus they bowled 24 wides!

So it came down to needing 14 off the last over but they had ran out of time to bowl their overs so got 6 penalty runs for the 1 over they hadn't bowled. So we now only needed 8 with no.10 and 11 in! We got it with 1 ball to spare.

A great game and advert for bowling your overs quickly!

Took 4 wickets and we won, and the tea was a cracker, and the sun was out, and had an hour before the game doing throwdowns for my little un
So a cracking day

Weve had a ll three of our away games rained off. So we,ve managed two leagues by the end on May. Really damaging our chances of promotion.

I'm in need of some help for my 2018 season!

Currently have the following run of form...

15 (run out), 27*, 32, 13 (Caught by a stunning one handed diving juggle...).

T20s... 30, 8*, 29.

Playing stunning shots, even early on. So basically, it seems I'm able to make starts but keep getting myself out once in. Need some tips of how to keep my concentration and build these into 50s and 100s. Bizarrely yesterday we were playing on a ground as big as Lords but outfield was about 2 inches long...!
And to top it off, bat has died.
