what I will say is that i'm glad we have got Plunkett and Clark for next season as our bowling attack without the Currans is lacking somewhat

Or maybe Essex just batted well?

Occasions when both Currans have played have been rare. Morkel and Clarke are leading wicket takers, and Dernbach has been decent. As has McKerr more recently.

Essex did bat well, and we pulled it back a bit but Patel was terrible today and when Clarke and Morkel aren't destroying teams we need him and Dernbach to take charge and they didn't look like doing it consistently enough.

I don't know but today's highlight was seeing Moeen bowl seam up. Bloke can do anything.

for those that believe the Championship is not of high enough standard to produce test players

two hat-tricks for somerset vs notts
 one for tom abell in the first innings and one for jamie overton in the second

cant be many games with two hettricks?
