What actually determines the sound a bat makes? It's always something that has interested me, as there is quite a range of sounds that can come from the impact of a mallet/ball. Accoustics? Pressing? Environment? Angle?
I bought a Grade 2 from @jonny77 recently. I can't be bothered with the faff of posting pictures but the service from Jonny is always great. He will send you a message a few weeks after you receive the bat asking you how you are getting on with the bat and whether you have any feedback. The handles Jonny uses are absolutely excellent and I think help with the lightweight balance of the bats. Finishing is always top notch. I must confess that at first the pressing wasn't 100% to my liking but I'm learning to move beyond the sound of the response to the actual rebound. So although rebound has a less pleasing sound the actual response/ping is very good. Overall if you get a bat from Jonny you will get a quality product with beyond exceptional customer service. Would highly recommend Scott bats (especially as they need more support down South). JT
What grade bat is it?
"I bought a Grade 2 from @jonny77 recently." 😂
Don't think you had any issue with it's pressing 😀
Reckon I could quite successfully throw my back out trying to use that monster stick 😂
Your one looks great Jonny. Not sure about the technique bat below though
Here is the bat from the video abv. Made as a copy of an existing bat. It's a big boy at over 3lbs, but as you can see in the video taps up really nicely. As you'd expect at that weight, it fills the gauge and imo balances nicely for such a hefty chunk of willow
