Hello everyone

It’s been a long time since I posted on this forum. I retired from cricket in 2011 and decided to come back this season.

I purchased a few bats over the winter and frankly I am not happy with them, so selling them on eBay.

I have been looking for a local YOrkshire bat maker where I can purchase a bat . I have been looking at the Scott range, however I want a certain profile (lower middle) and weight. I am opener bat.

What are forum members view on these bats? I believe JS175 is the lower middle bat?

Don't know about the JS175, but got Johnny to copy a old bat at the end of last season. Service is second to none and the bat is brilliant. Pick up and balance is spot on and performance is strong. Would highly recommend getting a Scott bat

JS175 is a lower middle yep, although if you're very picky a custom option isn't much more expensive from Jonny and he's very easy to deal with when it comes to customising things.

Excellent bat, @jonny77
It did not need much knocking and is my match bat from the get go. Great job, mate.

That's great mate, really appreciate the feedback and glad it's going well for you. I think this one turned out better than the original one 👍

I've a JS175 and it goes like the clappers. Spent some time knocking in, used in the nets, straight in the 'match' slot and frankly, could fill my bag with them. Proper.

Hi Jonny,

I'm now down in the area and would love to pop in to see you, if you could perhaps please give me a shout when it suits? I'm going to be in Leeds on Tuesday, but could perhaps pop down another time if that doesn't suit.

Thanks,

Kevin

Some of you may have seen this on my Socials, but just fancied shaping up an older style profile. Low middle, smaller edges, big spine. Nice size semi oval/oval handle l, 2lbs 11oz. Love this shape, picks up great and pings....if it doesn't sell, I could have a 3rd bat! 😆

Thoughts appreciated as always.....

Nice take on the old and new best bits of a bat. I’d personally use it but with a modern square toe lol

Thanks mate, me too. Just didn't feel the square toe would work on this one. Mine seem to be getting rounder the more I make!

You're not helping my "stop buying more bats" plan 😅
