Unlike winning in 2018 followed by a poor season in 2019, we don't appear to be showing any signs of complacency, have recruited pretty well and a solid academy intake now showing what they're capable of. Middlesex were poor but to win 3 from your first 5 amongst the trickier sides in Lancs, Hants, Warwickshire, Essex etc shows we're in a decent position. True test will be when we lose the England players and Roach who's only here for one more...
Only thing that bums me out is not playing a frontline spinner, because I imagine Moriarty (and Virdi on his day) would get a game at most sides, and we're probably at a high risk of losing them this season if we stick to the same plan of the occcasional bit of offspin from Jacks
