The press always go nuts but most of us who have played and been run out/stumped in this way  :) it’s not cheating. The keeper let go of it very quick, had he held onto it that might be different. And we presume the umpire did not call over at that time.

It’s a shame this has spoilt another great match, most of the frustration is we made enough chances to win both games.

Stokes nearly done it on his own what a great player he is. Interestingly he is more selective about his hitting-something the rest will have to learn

Surely you just stay in your crease until the umpire calls over. Stokes does this all the time when he does his thing with the bat. It's pretty schoolboy stuff and I don't see any controversy about it

Really?  I think Aussies sooking about how a Lords crowd treat their players is the absolute height of hypocrisy given how Australian crowds routinely treat - and are encouraged to treat - visiting players of all nationalities.  I also think the amount of noise from a usually sedantary Lords crowd is the biggest evidence there is of how morally offensive this act was, no matter whether it was within the Laws or not.

Not true - I know five members, and only four of them were judges.  Admittedly, the other is a Peer and has never worked a day in his life! :)

I think that was because Marnus had been batting out of his crease, so a different situation really. The only side which you can categorically say are right in the end are Australia, as by the laws of the game he's out. Still didn't mean it's right to me tho and Cummins isn't convincing that it's sitting 100% right with him either. As for the coaches comments, they're just plain daft! 😆

Disappointed to see this. What do people think they achieve by booing players and getting in their faces? Very poor form. It is wrong no matter who does it. What's happened to manners ?

Carey collected and threw the ball immediately, he probably spotted JB leaving the crease in prior overs. Smart thinking, fair play.

So far this Ashes has been played in good spirit. I have enjoyed both matches! I'd hate to see the atmosphere ruined between the sides over JB's stumping/runout. Stokes is a natural leader, it'd be great if he can find a way to lower the temperature on the ENG side.

AUS so far have played better cricket, can't fault them for that.
