Agree with 3 of them, cannot comment on your former coach, but Jeetan Patel cannot hold a candle to Dan the man! He averages 40+ with the ball in domestic cricket, and he doesn't have the canniness that Vettori does!

Good point about Vettorri! Great bowler, but I reckon at the moment Jeetan Patel would be the frontline spinner for most Countries in world cricket, bar England, NZ, India and Sri Lanka....

Well, I'd have Hauritz and O'Keefe over him from Aus, Tahir, van de Merwe, and then a few other spinners in SA like Dale Deeb and Shaun von Berg, and Pakistan... Well I have no idea what goes on over there. They'd probably take someone like Jeetan right now! Jeetan is definitely talented enough to be in or around a good chunk of the test+ODI squads right now!

Stuart Law IMO. Last innings for Aus of 50 yet got dropped for Steve Waugh coming back from injury. Don't drop someone if you score fifty. Just like dropping someone after scoring a goal in footy! Waugh is class but can't replace someone scoring 50

KP has to be the luckiest. How can the England selectors justify keeping him in the team after his recent form???

Because he is exactly the sort of player who can turn/win games for you. I think the 227 during the ashes shows just how important he is to England! He wasn't in the greatest form and he still went out and hit a double hundred, admittedly against a mediocre attack. The Aussies would have loved to have KP in their team, and wouldn't have dropped him after a run of bad scores. Remember form is temporary, class is permanent!

How many Test wickets did he get?
Hardly unlucky since he hadn't moved a ball off the straight in about 18 months...

Piper got banned for smoking some pot pourri didn't he? Got the nails out for his own coffin.
A.M. Smith got shafted by Atherton in his only Test and never played an ODI despite being a part of Gloucestershire's best one day team ever, though I suppose that was with Jack Russell up to the stumps, and Alec Stewart would never have done that.

But we're coming up to the World Cup which is limited overs the last time I checked. He hasn't scored 1 hundred in the last 2 years of one day cricket. Stats speak for themselves.....
