Haha I have 7 I will keep at the moment (two of which are my brother's), which leaves me room for 3 more. :D Buying 3 more that is... >.> Nothing quite beats the thrill of getting a bat through the post haha. Maybe I should just get a bat, and send it off at the post office back to my address, or even better, send it off to get restickered every month... That might be cheaper than buying around 15 a season! (That's thanks to this forum though!)

I'm intrigued, why keep in the Ayrtek over the Shrey?
-
I'm intrigued, why keep in the Ayrtek over the Shrey?
Two reasons really. The ayrtek is alot lighter and i much prefer keeping in it. I also need two helmets cause i hate putting a sweaty helmet back on for the second innings. Im also a little superstitious. Netted all winter with the shrey so i should bat in it.

Stuffs expensive in Oz! $240 for pads!? Jeepers
Also, Chest Guard? Is it pink? ;)
The pads are morrants , notoriously expensive to begin with , got them direct from morrant ...the price goes up with shipping from u.k . Could have been worse though , I bought the pads a few days after Brexit , if i had bought them a couple months earlier I would have been looking at $270-80ish .
The chest guard is not pink ;) :D ....but yeah , i know , its a bit girly . In my defence I do play a high standard/grade and the chest guard helps me psychologically not try to defend/protect my rib cage as much and play more pulls and hooks (plus i always use it when training on astro or using bowling machines ramped up to 85mph+, and feel better batting in games with the same type of gear that i train with). If it helps make more/quicker runs , then so be it .
-
Can't blame you on the chest pad. If I were playing on hard, bouncy Oz tracks facing 85mph+ I'd wear one too! Or to be honest, I'd have probably gone home :D
-

Yes , I feel a bit ashamed sometimes .... we need to start a section on here for our troubles .....'cricketers anonymous' or some such . 'Hi , I'm Shayne , and I have a cricket gear problem' . Applause , followed by 'thanks for sharing Shayne , we too feel your pain' . :D

I wonder what everyone's cheapest match day kit bag would be... So along the same lines of this topic but just the cheapest piece of equipment for each 'category'.
I think this would be one for the kit tramps/cheeky bastards like myself...

I'll have a go at this with my indoor cricket kit...
This probably won't be the cheapest kit going, but I think I've done okay on the "value for money" front :-[
I won't include whites etc. in this as I already have them from the proper season, and most things I take on a normal match day stays at home for indoor games
