No mention of Brian Lara yet? He's got to be up there!

Allan Border? Martin Crowe? They deserve a mention.....both very, very good technically.

Mind you technique doesn't score you runs, it does help but look at the likes of Sir Viv, Greenidge, Haynes, Thorpe, G Smith etc, none have textbook techniques and yet all score/scored heavily....Smith's technique truly sucks but it seems to work for him..... :)

Dhoni also scores runs with a technique which looks like something you would find from a amateur Sunday league player...

I guess this shows that having the correct techers isn't always necessary to score runs, you just need to work that little bit harder.

Tendulkar is just something else

Yes his technique is great, but he has added his own twist

If a youngster walked across outside off stump and flicked the ball through the on side what would coaches say ??

For me Ian Bell is my favourite to watch, he's just beautiful when he's at his best!

Vaughan in his purple patch was immense to watch, loved that cover drive.

Not much rivals the bowling machine daze that is Shane Watson technically not a lot beats him in world cricket Technique wise

Kallis is another both very repeatable and both very coached batsman
Tendulkar is Tendulkar

Lara was a one off and i would not try to coach his backlift so

Kallis and Wtson will do for me there role models when coaching kids and technique wise i would like to see better

Sorry i get excited when people are talking about greenidge and haybes both in there own right great technitions as well and as good as any on the list..

Lara was good and in a period a great one off technique for sure

Watson and Kallis are collousis technical batsman who i would encourage kids to watch and learn

Of players still playing, Bell has the best technique imo by some way. He is a joy to watch in full flight.

Watson technique is totally floored hence as many LBW decisions so massively disagree and don't know where your coming from on this one, agree haynes and greenidge were class no issue but Watson ? class name nothing else
