Hello,

My name is Dontfearthereaper and I have a serious problem. I'm a bataholic.  I need help¡

I've added a few in last wee while. I think if I can add a Gunn & Moore Skipper I'll finally be done. Well my wife hopes I'll be done...

For anyone in the Greater Manchester area, the sports shop across from Bury Bolton Street Station (the heritage railway station) in Bury has quite a few bats at the "newer" end of the vintage scale. Saw a few Kookaburra Ridgebacks, they're the ones that stood out the most to me.

My Kookaburra Ridgeback. I remember watching Dean Jones and Allan Lamb use these in the early 90s. I've wanted one ever since.

These are size 6 though. They haven't anything old in Senior sizes.

When you know the Mrs is a keeper.

While she was chatting to a customer at work, she managed to start talking about cricket and my bat collection! The man popped into the shop later in the day with this in hand and said I could have it to add to the collection!L

The gent was 88 years old and said he was bought the bat as a present but never used it as it was so expensive! The bat has no damage and all the stickers seem intact. The Lillywhites branding is stamped/burnt into the face. The toe also has an insert to strength it.

Considering this bat is older than me, I don't have much knowledge about the age. Anybody remember using one or have any information about it?

From the stickers, the SS Bat looks like late 70s or early 80s, their conventional bat to go alongside the Jumbo
