Me too! I am the go-to guy for grips at my club!!

this is my problem too and I have suddenly started skinning my hands for some reason whilst doing it so I won't exactly be jumping for joy when three people ask me to re grip their bats for them at nets next week! I have found wearing rubber gloves helps but I don't exactly want to be slipping on the marigolds in the changing room, people will think I have lost it.

GM vacuum grip applicator is very flimsy and breaks easily. It was a waste of money. I went back to grip cone.

However, contrary to a few opinions on here, I found the KwikGrip much more robust, and it applied virtually all grips except octopus. Mine was an excellent piece of kit.

@Aswani Cricket - are you sure you haven't got any used ones lying around your stockroom?

Right guys, because of this thread, I had to go Diy on it. Made a pvc vacuum cleaner device, cost me £7 to make, and works like a charm. Will post pictures and a guide later today :-)

Fish scale grip

Double binded thick handle

Apply to modified (No Swearing Please) pump

Apply suction

Voila, 45mm opening..

Done deal!

I took a trip down to DF after a quick phone call and would you believe it:

I bought up the 9 they had left, I'll be keeping two for myself and sending one or two to people who have asked but I'll put the rest up for sale on here eventually for anyone who wants one.

I'll consider one of these too! How much did they cost you mate?

They were in a box stuffed in the storeroom and obviously forgotten about so they let me have them for the princely sum of £3.75 each if bought them all. Ha!

Jesus thats a bargain! I'll gladly have one off you when you get around to it. Would be nice to see how well it works with different grips first though
