Saw an Aldred in the flesh for the first time yesterday, Supreme 5*, lovely grains and profile.  It's owner (who is a very good player) made 28 before being run out which was a real shame as he was playing very well.

Played against a H4L Excel - seemed to go very well with some very clean hitting from its owner who scored a fifty.

Played against 5/6 guys using Ian Wills gear yesterday all looked quite modern shaped bats and all looked very light for the shape. Softs looked tidy as well.

Took my boy to play in his first county match last Monday, he was playing for Oxon U16 vs Northants.

The opposition had 2 M&H and a Blue Room.  lots of "onhands" bats in both teams.

he lost!!!

Not custom bats, but a bit of interest to some of you guys of a certain age maybe. Spotted a Hunts County Reflex with a very sharply chiselled toe, also a Prince Gold (anyone heard of them?)  - big old bat that one!

Don't know the Prince Gold. Have a Reflex like that in my Vintage collection - it's still lovely!

A guy I played against was using a SAF Fabrica last night, he hit a few and it went well. Asked him about it after the game and he said he picked it up on eBay
