Our 2nds had yet to win a game this season after getting relegated and then gave the team who went down with them an absolute mauling making 279-6 dec off 24. Amazing to think that at one point they were backs to the wall against the 9 men(who won the toss and fielded first) at 14-2 and that the centurion is a guy who has been batting at 10/11 for the 1sts.

Some from my past.

40over game, 250 run win

http://hollinsendmethodist.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=11180901

14over game, declared after ten overs still won by 112runs

http://hollinsendmethodist.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=10948431

T20 173 run win

Whilst winning after declaring on 10 overs to crush a team takes some doing it must be noted that Brincliffe are the local cricket equivalent of San Marino   with only one cricketer playing in that match and yes they had two postman, two doctors and a teacher in the line up..... I know this because they are my wed night team.. two weeks ago we finally won a game after waiting 699 days since the last one. Kieron BT will be interested to know that Eddie Raper is a former player ( and welcome back anytime) It is truly cricket played for crickets sake with no expectation of winning or egos. Just 11 ( or sometimes 10,9) wanting to playing knowing they will get a hiding but smiling through it.

You nearly beat us in the return fixture, we was 20for 4 of 8overs chasing 82,before we scrapped by.

Your also at ours this Wednesday are you not?

Good to see a few Sheffield based players about,

Your playing the seconds, I shall be off at waterworks with the firsts. But if you stay for a beer, I shall hopefully be back, and come say hi.
