TFC's for Ali Butt and Ayaz Shah then! Can't think of a worse way to spend a Sunday than getting pad rash and fielding! 😆

Looks like a huge overkill turning up with that lineup in a division 3 Sunday league! Notice the main run scorer this is his first recorded game in that division?

Most Sunday competitions I have played in have eligibility criteria to stop this sort of nonsense parachuting a first team batter into a mid-division Sunday competition to ruin the game as a contest

Would be surprised to see this as “OK” in any league to be honest, certainly if I was the oppo or someone else in that league I’d be asking questions. Just realised the poster played in that game, maybe he can explain what happened?

Imagine turning up on Sunday (after having played on Sat I imagine) and then having to sit and watch 45 overs and then just field 45 overs! Why wouldnt the openers just retire and give someone else a chance?
It was a Sunday League match hence why they did not retire; we played them in the same Sunday league 6 years ago and in their match report they decided to take the piss out of one of our players. It was a delight to watch as it broke miscellaneous club records.

Division 3 Sunday League, I'm sure the opposition had a great Sunday...
They were 3rd in the league and had been fielding their best team as they have 2 teams in the league and were lucky enough to have fixtures when both sides were not playing and this was the first time this season were they had to select 2 teams instead of 1.

We selected our best possible team as we wanted to show them business.

Ali Butt got 134 the day before which consists of me getting a TFC but Ali Butt did get the last wicket and took 2 catches. Ayaz Shah has an injury.

I did play in this game and opened the bowling. As per my previous posts, the opposition had been fielding their strongest team as both their sides did not play every Sunday and this was the first Sunday were they had to play both teams; they had previously caused problems with a match report they submitted.

Missed that as he wasn't listed as having bowled on the card. So he bowled 2 balls?

Ayaz Shah has an injury but was still in your best possible 11? 🤔

Either way, I don't think this is a great look for Sunday cricket personally, but each to their own

At least in saturday league cricket you are generally on the same planet as the opposition. That would put me off playing for life on sundays.

Quote from: London Maccabi Vale CC
he was undone by a ball from Chingford's fifth-change bowler, who would have been delighted to pick up what must have been his first ever wicket at any level of cricket.

This is eye opening! Personally I’d have been embarrassed about that scorecard, I originally assumed it was being posted for us all to mock it online, but then to see that it was done as some type of retribution after 6 years is almost laughable.

Honestly expect the league to have rules to stop this type of thing and wasting peoples time!

Sounds like a fantastic league to be involved in if it is worth ruining a game of Sunday cricket in order to settle a 6-year grudge arising from a throwaway comment in an internal club match report
