We saw the winning 12 as we were giving "dominate and penetrate" a bit of their own medicine in what rapidly became a decidedly unfriendly encounter, where they got frustrated by mistakes and the sledging/arguing was not suitable for young ears.

It wasn't helped by an umpire who didn't know the rules. Still, a win is a win...

We definitely saw the 12 and the resultant cheer and team get together that resulted. There were some big sixes from Penetrate and Dominate in our game, I do remember that one. It was about the third largest as they cleared the footpath on the south side of pitch 5 twice. Who do you play for? The results aren't all up yet.

I play for the Springfield Isotopes. It's mainly a side put together out of the guys who work at the ECB, though I don't work there (unfortunately). What's yours?

Actually as it happens we played Dominate and Penetrate last week, the game was an absolute bloodbath as once of them split a webbing badly then two balls later another one suffered an open dislocation on a finger. Lucky the rain came as their team made both of them carry on fielding for a while!

Sorry yeah you're right, it was Royal Rampage last week. Unfortunately they messed up the accounts behind the scenes so my scratchy 19 went onto a team mates scorecard and I don't appear to have played!

Yeah we've had a couple of shockers. Luckily we had one of the top dogs last night and he knew what he was doing. Some of them are literally there for the paycheck though and know nothing about cricket and have blagged their way in.

Last night we had:

1. A bouncer that went over head height that was unreachable by the batsman not called wide, but was signalled as the one for the over.
2. The umpire didn't understand the Powerplay rule and complained to our captain that the field was not set as 4&2, even though that is only optional
3. The umpire failed to inform the batsman that the bowler was coming around the wicket!

All good fun.

Still can't buy a run, caught for 14 off one of the slowest spinners in the world, I really hate cricket!

got stuck in traffic tonight so was a hour late for a 18 over game 14 over had already gone. bowled one over went for 15 runs opened the batting was out of 6 off the last ball of the first over. lets hope the weekend improves

Not playing again as im moving house this weekend. From Manchester to Huddersfield, so a lot of boxes in my front room at the moment.

In fact I am leaning on one now!
