    Well I can't stop laughing!
We fielded first, restricting the opposition to 99-5 off 12.
    I took 3-33 off 3

We then won it 4 down in the final over.
My comedy moment, I left My first ball - which bowled me. Still chuckling about it now

Atleast you won! And had players.

We arrived for a six a side with 4 players with the league saying we would have two pool players waiting.

Oppo arrived with 5 players with the league saying there be a pool player for them.

There was 1 pool player!

And the team who's turn to officiate did not show(atleast not for our game)
So the 3 not batting had to umpire and score.

So we played 5 on 5 15 overs. Pool players can't bowl, and our side had 1 person who bowls normally, rest batsmen.

They batted first and accumulated 254 for 1!!(me 1 for about 65)

We in reply made 141 for 3, of which 67 were extras! A made 15 but mistimed a drive that some dude caught with a full length dive about 4 inch of floor and jungled it about 7 times before holding on.

Bad bad day. We was top of league before to.

Indoor is pretty popular around Bristol, there's a well organised league structure with half a dozen different leagues leading to playoffs etc. 8 a side, pink ball, isn't a bad simulation of real cricket and a very good standard, lots of teams from the top leagues involved. Strangely we play a better standard indoors than we do outside! Our first team no 10, who got 40ish runs in the whole of last season including batting up the order on Sundays, becomes a prolific opener indoors for some reason.

Good start to my indoor season cut short by injury for now - 70 runs off 27 balls for once out in the three digs I'd had in our Sunday league, fingers crossed I'm back playing by the playoffs!

Boom!!!

Good day good day.  Massive win, top of league with 1 round left. And

Boomed 80 not out. Could have had a ton of it wasn't for the retire every 25 rules.

had hit 4 sixes in my last 7 balls faced.  shame I missed an over in the middle of that due to retiring and waiting to come back in.

Hell of an effort getting 80 indoors! 50s are rare enough with the retiring rule, my top score is 54* and I don't think I'll ever even get a chance at beating it. Well played sir.

Would have been top score as well by someone got 99 in a later game!

The duck last week cost me, could have been second on that list with a half decent score.

Lot of high scores in there actually! Guessing this is 6 a side? Cant believe the top guy with a lowest score of 40! We play mostly 8 a side which means you don't often come back in before the last over (if you even come back in). 6 a side league I play in has had 6 of us get fifties in 5 years I think, only once over 60 (bloke got 75 but he's something else, close to 1000 league runs in 16 games this year).

Yeah it's six a side, that guys lowest score of 40 was against us, not because we are awesome, but because we only took one wicket, so he didn't really get to come back in. Lol.

We won today, and qualified for the semis in the play offs by coming second in the league

We rocked up to play a side that had been indifferent all season, but as it was there week for two games(only 7 teams), one of there batsman had scored 150 in the opening game!!! What.

Wait.... What!!
150!!!!! Not out.

Okay

So won toss and batted first and got a second ball duck, great start.
Eventually put on 225 for 5 of our 15. A good score.

Dude opened and he looked a different class(and was clearly sponsored by cp, a brand ijc are dropping)

Thankful our tactic of not taking wickets so he couldnt come back in worked. They finished 9 short and he only got 54 iin this game. Run out of the last ball.

Non to be fair. Was mentioned as you don't normally see a sponsored player playing indoor,
The later comment was because as I was writing I remembered ijc sold them but mentioned they won't next year under there new philosphy. And as its a brand not many have heard of, it gives some kind of forum context.

I keep it short and sweet next time likes bats ent, "Man scores 150" post done.

And the title is ours. In a bizarre day in which I thought I'd cost us the lot!!

Plays off won!

League leaders won and in to final. So our turn

Game one. Semis us(2nd) vs dronny arms(3rd)
Batting, we was looking good, I'd retired and we was going at over ten an over. But the wickets started to tumble.
And when I returned we was 4 down and 110 of 10.
I proceeded to run my partner out, and then get bowled 2 balls later.

Us 124 all out and looking over as dronny arms had made 200 every week.

Doesn't matter as we sent them back for just 31!!! Our skipper bowling 1.5 overs, 5wickets(including a hat trick) for 0 yes. That says zero runs!!!
All 5 bowled!!!!!!! Quality bit of pace bowling I had he pleasure of standing up to.

On to the final, beerhouse made a low 136 all out due to more great bowling. Skipper with 2, me a run out(direct hit with gloves on) and other wickets shared.

We decided to bat time, very sensibly that procricket1982 would like.
Although we lost a early wicket, I retired in 25 after 10 and number 3 retired on 25 after 9.
Far to many extras meant. We sailed home by 5 wickets with 3 overs remaining.

Well done mate. Afraid we ended up propping up the table - not sure if this means relegation or not at the moment. So we might still cross swords next season!  We had a nice consolation win at farnham yesterday, bowled them out for 86 in tricky conditions and got them for 4 down - if only we'd played like that the rest of the season!  I ground out 25 not out to anchor the innings but felt like i did a job for the team, even if it might have been horrible to watch.  Ended up averaging 26 in the 3s and 2nd highest aggregate in the side, fairly pleased with that in my first season at Kempton, but a bit disappointed I didn't grab my opportunities when promoted to the 2s.

Congratulations on 3's player of the season mate, hopefully see you in the 2's a bit more this year
