If courier keep on missing the packages, then either OLS will shut operations or the courier will.
Claim should be from from the consignee.... The consignor can surely help in exerting pressure.
consignee should lodge a protest and complaint with the courier company.
Also in this case earlier the courier said they have delivered and later it's been communicated as missing,
The courier company should also be taken to task. Unless there business and name is affected, they will
Continue to misplace the couriers!!!!

Ideally speaking if OLS was a US based retailer then your example would be possible. Just to clarify the courier company in discussion here booked the package through FedEx. FedEx have asked their sender (courier company) to file a claim. OLS needs to push the courier company to file a claim. However i don't think its appropriate for OLS to hold a customer refund until money arrives from courier company.

Just been reading things on this blog.
Few things just came to my mind, if the goods were sent via courier, wouldn't be they insured???
I think yes, all goods sent via courier are insured. So logically you should put a claim with the courier
Company and cc the same to OLS so that he may pressurise the courier company to settle the claim.
It would be unfair to stop payment to OLS who has also paid ahead to the company for the product.
So guys seriously the courier company should be taken to task.

To me it's online stockiest problem so why should he not stop the payment when their is a problem with online stockiest he just hides and ignores thinking it will go away it ok when you want to buy but as soon as their is a problem he makes all the excuses under the sun

Don't close till you have proof he has sent more items as that's what he wants you to do funny how he always wants you to close before you receive the goods

I read somewhere in the paypal site that you can raise a dispute for the same invoice twice ! So i am not closing anything ... I replied back asking him to respond on the dispute section of PayPal.

The best way to deal with it as if you close he will start ignoring your emails I had this happen first hand so make sure you follow it though

Always paypal.

Paypal, if they side with the buyer which almost always happen, usually offer a "pay the refund or close down your paypal account". OLS can't afford to close paypal so they will pay.

Communicate via paypal. Dispute does not close unless you have money back in your account or gear in your hand. Keep the documents from Fedex handy as well. DO NOT CLOSE THE DISPUTE

Wouldn't be surprised if he was on here anyway.

But pointing this out may be bad thing. He might think sod it and become even more of a pain.
