The thing I've never really understood is that GM and Newbery make their bats in a very similar way (admittedly the Newbery machine is older, having originally made Slazenger bats) but both are at complete opposite ends of the spectrum in marketing them.
One is all about saying how they are handmade, whereas the other is keen to mention how high tech and DXM it is.
What I find Interesting about all this(and I've thought about it for a while). Is
@ItsJustCricket and there current ethos on what bats they sell.
They sell newbery, who don't advertise they don't make there bats, and don't advertise there cnc made. Which is against there new business model. But still sell them.
They also have newbery make there platinum, but newbery don't make there bats, so ijc, get newbery, who get the Keeley brothers to cnc make there bats. And then ijc don't advertise this to there customers. So technically they shouldn't stock there own bats either.......
