I don't get it, why would you buy an Indian made Laver reserve from IJC for £600 when you can have the real thing direct from Laver for a little under £400 at current exchange rates? Can't imagine this is what Laver intended, you wonder how involved they are in the 'exclusive distributor' business.
Hi all - as some know (more now!), I now have some involvement with IJC and just wanted to clarify on the pricing point on their behalf.
An error was initially made on the pricing as a result of a slightly tricky process of trying to match prices between IJC and L&W direct, taking into account shipping to the UK, import duty, VAT etc. This has now been corrected.
Within very small margins, the total cost of ordering the same bat from L&W direct, and from IJC is now the same. The main difference from a pricing perspective is that if you order from L&W NZ direct, shipping of 100 NZD is added, and VAT and import duties may be payable. Ordering from IJC, UK delivery is free and all import tariffs, VAT etc are already dealt with. Delivery times on stock bats will also be shorter as they are coming from London, not NZ or India! You can of course also visit the store and pick up/compare the IJC bats.
