The most important thing here is that Ryan Patel's Keeley bat looked amazing and hit some pure shots today.

Quite sad I didn't get to see him bat - he looked okay at the Oval last year, would have been good to see him on a sporting wicket.

Championship starts up again today and lots of England players playing. This is what it is all about the top players playing 4 day cricket etc...

England players and prospects playing -

Root
Bairstow
Butler
Anderson
Jennings
Ali
Leach
Overton
Curran
Burns
Pope
Broad
Ball
Gubbins
Malan
Woakes
Stokes
Wood

Interestingly Bess isn't playing for Somerset and Rashid isn't for Yorkshire.

Rashid only plays white ball cricket now so it's no real surprise he isn't playing...

Don't think you'll get three better scalps in a hat trick than Jordan Clark has just done.

Amazing hat-trick.

Lots of wickets around, Middlesex, Notts, Kent in trouble

It's been a while since batsmen have seen (or not seen?) a red ball?

Yeah, I'm.sure they won't have so much as faced one in the nets since their last red ball game...

Wasn't really a comment on the characteristics of the actual ball. More the mindset and temperament required for batting in the longer form of the game. Innings aren't played in the nets. It is becoming widely acknowledged that they are difficulties involved with switching from T20 to championship cricket.

19 wickets in a day? York’s vs Lancs.

Lancs all out 80 odd behind with livinsgstone not batting.

They scored more in total in the 17seventeen.......

Captaincy hasn't phased Burns one bit. Feeling good about winning Div 1 now

You could actually do what we did a couple of years back in terms of margin!
