Just a few bats recently made for a few forum members, others and some to go into stock. Sent a few out recently, to Oz, USA, Germany amongst other places and obviously throughout the UK. So been a busy time alongside buying new bits of kit and figuring out operating a spindle moulder! Put the actual stock bats onto the website, along with pictures and specs etc, which has worked well and enables people further away to get more of idea of whether the bat is to their liking I suppose.
First up is a sb/lh set up based on a B3. The original was big but 2lbs 13oz, so the customer asked for as close as but a good few oz lighter. Ended up a tad smaller but only 2lbs 9.5oz, with minimal concaving and big shoulders/toe. Feels lovely!
Second up was requested in my JS170 profile, but with a sb/lh again and as full a profile as possible. Customer wasn't as bothered about edge size etc, but not too thin on the shoulders. Turned out to be a good size at 2lbs 10oz and is a bit of me grain wise, I've seen worse looking Grade 1s
This one was one i shaped up on Thursday for stock, posted pics on Instagram and it was snapped up before it was finished
Big bat, weighs 2lbs 13oz but feels great in the hands and is a stunner too!
Finally a few stock bats made up, trying to keep them as full as possible.
Top one has surprisingly been in stock for a little while, possibly due to the weight being 2lbs 11.5oz, but it's big, a stunner and pings really nicely. Has now gone to a retailer.
Next 2 are stock LS190 shapes, which will now actually be the LS200 moving forward. Moving the spine peak a little higher on all stock profiles every so slightly. Mid middle, good size and both around 2lbs 10oz i think from memory.
The bottom one is the JS170 profile, lovely bat at only 2lbs 7oz. Very light obviously but still a great size.
