Excellent craftsmanship @jonny77!

I received the bats last week, and performance and finishing is superb for a relatively new batmaker. It is an Amplus profile and blade response is exceptional for a new bat. Decals are premium class.

Honestly, I was surprised by the quality of the end product. Overall, I think I got a great deal & CBF discount for the bat.

Cheers @jonny77

Pleasure mate and really pleased you're happy with it, as that's the goal with everything I do. As long as the customer is happy, then all good!

Plenty more to come as I get new equipment into the shop to keep pushing things on.

Been a busy time with bats and working on a few improvements to the workshop. Wanted to create a better display area and office space, as this was just a small, uncovered corner of the workshop. Now built a closed off 'pod' within the workshop, which feels a much nicer place to have customers visit, display bats/softs etc and for me to doing the boring side of things (not making bats basically! 😣).

Still more work to do to hide the fridge away from sight (essential for milk/tea but not very easy on the eye), which will then be a space to display bags. Also need to upgrade the lighting and get softs on the shelves too.

If anyone has any other suggestions or things which there feel people would like to see in a space such as this, let me know. Obviously I'm working in a small workshop, but hopefully it's a more inviting space for customers now.

Also shaped this one yesterday for the bat rack. This has been my most popular stock shape, the JS170 low middle. Edge is 36mm but only gentle concaving and a big spine height as you can see. Grade 2 and will be 2lbs 10.5oz to 2lbs 11oz fully finished.

Following on from the talk of funky shapes, thought I'd post this up. Not so much a funky shape as customer requested a fairly std shape, but wanted the bat to be as long as possible as he's 6ft 7". Managed to get it to 94.5cm!

Came in at 2lbs 12.5oz and fills the gauge pretty much. Would have been some bat at std short handle length.

Well that certainly is a monster, a different kind to what you usually call a monster!

Yes mate, 96.5cm/38 inches. As I'm only around 5ft 7" it felt huge! 😆 Thought it would be a big challenge balancing it. but was really happy with how it felt.
