Nice take on the old and new best bits of a bat. I’d personally use it but with a modern square toe lol

A square toe would ruin a shape like that 😂 Classic shapes must have a rounded toe - I don't make the rules!

If you hadn't already made me a batch of classic shapes @jonny77 I may have snaffled this one  :D

Made this one today as a custom order which is off to India. 2lbs 12.5oz, but it picks up much lighter to me and has a nicer thick oval handle. Big bat, with a rounded toe as requested. Could have easily kept this one!

Popped in yesterday to drop a bat for a refurb.

Some lovely sticks in stock even the lower grades. A really juicy grade 3, had some stain that gave it some character.

Had to stop myself getting another bat, am sure Ill be back there at some point for another. Some really nice bats picking up extremely well and surprised to see them weighing over 2lb 10oz..

Ha ha, no fees just very old school and likes a big heavy bat. The heaviest I had in was 2lbs 15 7/8oz and he said he could probably go a bit heavier. Hence this beast.

Finished the beast up. Just under 3lbs 2oz fully dressed, ping is lovely and maybe not quite 2lbs 8oz feel..... I'd say 2lbs 8.5oz 😁

Also, made a couple up for a CBF member and sent them off to Oz. One of them has already got a 30 ball 61 not in it's first outing 💥

Today I took my Scott cricket bat in indoor practice against bowling machine. Ex Pakistani Player Asif Mujtaba was coaching in the next lane, he stopped coaching and turn around to see the sound my Scott bat was producing. I handed it over to him to hear what he thought. He absolutely loved my bat and asked for Johnny contact number so he can order some bats from
Him as well. Keep up the good work mate.

It was my first time ever using it and to my surprise, it was better than my seasoned match bat.

Ah that's great to hear mate! So pleased you're happy with it, that's really all I care about when making people bats. Hope it scores you plenty when you use it out in the middle too. Appreciate the support and the time you've taken to update. Go well mate!

I’m sure you maybe have shown a pic of the bat before but be good to see again

Asif was a notable name back in 90s wasn’t aware now he’s based in uk now so a good result for Scott’s

What uk area does he coach in ?

Asif was a top player. I played against him many times when he was pro'ing in the Central Lancs League for Norden. He moved to the US. Be good to know where he is now based and coaching. Such a lovely man and always had time to have a chat after games.

Asif also runs a cricket store in Dallas. Maybe he wants to stock your gear @jonny77
