Played Golders' team today, without even realising he was playing until just before our innings lol!  :-[
They batted first, got 189 with a bit of help from us at the end in bowling some bad stuff to give them runs - turned out to be a silly decision.. :(
Got an interesting stumping standing back to a medium pacer - aimed at the stumps as he overbalanced and I hit :D
Went in at 3. - First ball straight into the box and cracked it - annoying as I'm stuffed for tomorrow. But yeah, got to 17 off 19 balls, did a lot of running - cut one and ran a 2 but got run out going for the second, it was the longest part of the ground and I went on the length of the throw.
The guy was about 14 wasn't he Golders? But a gun fielder, decent throw into the keeper who did the rest - I was only out by a bit, but annoyed, as I thought I looked decent (:))and felt like runs! :(
Ahh well, it was a lovely ground but the 50 mile commute from our club meant that we were late.  :-[
Unfortunately gun bats at 7-10 didn't really fire and we were all out for a meagre 126.
Not great from our perspective, but a lovely game to play in I thought :)
Hopefully we will play Golders' lot again - I saw his bat and thought blimey that's a lovely bat - he didn't use the middle apart from when he hit a tasty straight 6 :)

That was a good sunday game, particularly for us lol! minimum petrol money spent and a good win over good oppo! Was sooo weird when I realised it was you Johan.

''Hi Johan, it's me, im golders from the cricket forum!'

lmao

If you told me what bat you used I'd remember haha. I had a nightmare that game, Rich Elliott worked me out easily and I was screwed after that. That Saffa would also be Zimbabwean ;)

I think you'll win the league fairly easily :L

on saturday i got probably the best ball of the season. right armer pitched on leg and swung it away and hit top of off stump what could i do about that would of got test batsman out.

then fresh game on monday, hit my first ball crunch to cover, only bounced about 30cm before him but there fieldsman diving forward claimed he caught it. everyone met and i was given out absolute joke it was where is spirit of cricket

my cricket season so far has been pretty irritating this season. Iv only been selected for midweek 20/20 this year so far. and to make matters worse, the team is was playing for , the 3rd's is now half full of u15's. Grrrrrrrrrr maybe its because of my exams idk? The 20/20 has been alright thou, iv came in 2nd nd 3rd, penciled in 28,21,14,3 so far which i fell is bout average. have to retire at 30 runs in league anyway. >:( Another thing is that everygame iv played it has rained during it !

Ha ha ye thats right, you could of had us out for a lot less and that would of been interesting. Ye Rich is a quality bowler to be fair to him.

We should've. That's the biggest problem with out club, we can't kill teams off, if your number 10 didn't get 50 it would've been a very interesting game.

Fair play, when you had to bowl 15 overs in the blazing sun against us last year I sensed you weren't too happy with things! Looks like they are struggling without you. Good luck with the new club, plenty of people to get tips from there!
