Don't worry - I will probably crumble under the pressure of bowling to another forum legend.

This is all, of course, pending my selection into the mighty 3's!!!!

Darn, our head to head will have to wait for another day... Unexpectedly found myself in the 2s!  Shame, I was kind of looking forward to it though sure it was going to end badly for me, i remember what you did to me at the Oval. Still there's always the return fixture...

Had my first net of the season tonight, found a major flaw in my batting technique and managed to damage my bat in it's first proper use. Saying that i'm not happy would be a major understatement.

Ugly slogging tonight in a 2020, got 30 and loved every slog of it. Quite nice to just throw the bat for once and not care about the outcome. Oppos took it very seriously and we're trying to sledge.. Not sure they found it amusing that I couldn't care less and just kept switching from left to right handed on them.

Good fun though, team were all out for 102 and we got smashed.

LMS last night, notched up another win. Personally scored 20 off 19, two catches and a stumping. On a more pleasing note, I've scored 127 runs since I last gave away my wicket, good for the average and long may it continue!

Opposition have conceded last night, which is extremely frustrating considering the weather forecast and that we're on a bit of a winning streak at the moment..  >:(

They wouldn't travel with 9 men even after we offered 2 of our reserves to field for them which is really poor if you ask me.  League rules say they should travel with a minimum of 7 so will be interesting to see what happens there.

Resorted to a practice game and nets instead today. Better than sitting on the couch all day.

Hmmm. Interesting game today. Playing for our thirds against Hayes thirds and opening the batting for them was Alex Blackwell, the current Australian Women's vice captain, preparing for the Ashes. She was a very technically good batsman who scored an almost chance less 118 until being caught in the last over of the innings off my bowling. That brought an odd end to the innings as I then bowled two wides before getting the next two batsmen out caught behind and stumped. 9-0-4-40 for me in that. All four wickets that we took in 46 overs.

I hate cricket flat track fast outfield and I drill the first ball I face straight at mid wicket - great!!!

Another 50 in 1st xi cricket, team posted 299 and oppo all out 124. Oppo were shocking, just trying to hit every ball rather than bat properly. Sad advert for win/lose cricket

Oppo were 8 down with 10 runs to get, then the leg umpire blatantly cheated a run-out which the batsman was out by a yard , they would have been 9 down with ten runs to get.

They won in the end with 8 down.

We won today, got 220 and they got 180-9 chasing.

I contributed 12 not out at the end, don't care as long as we won and I play in first team.

How did you get on?  I picked up 5-19 against your 3XI - and that is despite some appalling umpiring by your boys!!  I hope you got runs in the 2XI

So , further to my earlier post, we ended up losing. They scored 237 -4 and we scraps to 172 so. Our opener and number 4 manage to score 75 between them and our numbers 8, 9, and 10 put on 70 odd between them too, much to the chagrin of the opposition. I was last man out on 18 trying to hit the bowler over the top, only to realise that the fielder was Alex. Damn it, caught by the Aussie international in a full length diving catch.

Fun game though. This is Alex.
