Been a while since I've been on here, but thought I'd give a little season review of my own.
Despite being a mini season, it's the only season I've been able to play a bigger part in for the past 3 years due to constant knee issues (ACL damage), which is never too good as bowler.
After spending the majority of my games playing for the clubs 2's previously, I found myself in the 3rd team to start the season off.
Not a great deal of surprise given my 2/3 of a season combined over the previous 2 seasons. I managed to work may way back up to the 2's (until i was unavailable for a week and got dropped again). Out of 8 games, there were 5 3rd team games, all of which I captained which was a new experience, and 3 were second team games. Surprisingly though, every game I have played in this year the team has won, which is a definite positive.
As a whole so far this season, I've managed 17 wickets in 55.3 overs, with an Economy of 3.73, SR of 19.59 and average of 12.18, which I am very happy with, especially given I only managed 49 overs in the previous 2 seasons combined.
To cap it off, we have a cup final for the 3rd team this coming Saturday to finish the season after our semi-final win yesterday. We posted 242/7 off our 40 overs (with a solid 8* off 2 balls from myself

), and managed to bowl them out for 184 with 2 overs to spare. Makes it seem tighter than it was, given that they were up with the rate and ahead of where we were going in to the second half of the innings. Personally i managed 3/30 off 7.3 overs, all 3 wickets coming in a single over, but it was a good performance from all our bowlers to restrict them on what was a very good batting deck.
On to the final game now and hopefully end the season with a trophy. Good luck to all others in any finals they have!
